The Storm Team 11 Forecast:

Winter Weather Advisories will go into effect at Midnight tonight through 4 pm Tuesday for the mountains of east Tennessee including Johnson, Carter, Unicoi and southern Greene Counties.  In Virginia the Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell, Scott and Washington Counties.  This is mainly are areas above 2,500 feet.  Snow is possible early Tuesday morning with some sleet and freezing rain mixed before changing to all snow through the afternoon.  Snowfall in these counties could range from two to five inches through Tuesday night.

Mostly cloudy skies are forecast tonight with a 50% chance of snow late tonight and early Tuesday morning.  Snow could accumulate to a half an inch to an inch.  Lows will be near 33.

Cloudy and breezy conditions are forecast for Tuesday with an 80% chance of rain through the day.  Snow will fall across the higher elevations through mid morning.  Highs will be near 42 degrees.

Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for Tuesday night with a 70% chance of snow.  Total snowfall for the lower elevations will range from two to four inches through Tuesday night.  Lows will fall to near 20.

Wednesday will be cloudy, windy and cold with a 60% chance of light snow.  Highs will hold near 27 degrees with a west wind at 10 to 20 mph.
