Area rivers and streams continue to recede tonight although some still remain above flood stage. The most significant flooding continues along the Pawtuxet River. For more on the flooding of the Pawtuxet: CLICK HERE!

High pressure controls our forecast into the weekend. Highs will be mildest the next three days across inland areas. The wind will be out of the west Thursday, this will boost highs into the mid 60s away from the coastline! Friday & Saturday the wind will be more southerly in nature…mainly off the cool ocean water so high temepratures will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast…climbing into the lower 60s farther inland.

A cold front approaches Sunday with thicker clouds for the afternoon. Showers are likely later Sunday into Sunday night and may linger, off & on, through Monday. Temps will turn colder behind this Front for early next.

TONIGHT: Clear & cool. LOWS: 28-34°
THURSDAY: Sunny…mild! HIGHS: 60-66° Inland…50s Coast
FRIDAY: Sunny. HIGHS: 58-63° Inland…47-55° Coast
SATURDAY: Sunny. HIGHS: 60-65° Inland…47-55° Coast
SUNDAY: Increasing clouds. Ch. shower late afternoon/evening. HIGHS: 55-59°
